Countertop Installer (Rochester & Buffalo Location)

This position is responsible for the overall delivery, installation, and customer satisfaction of our products. This is a great position for someone in construction that has knowledge of tools. We will train the right person with the right attitude. Start time is 6:45am until the jobs are completed.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loads and unloads trucks with countertops and other related products for
    installation.
  • Responsible for safely handling all countertops.
  • Works with team partner to ensure the best craftsmanship and customer service is achieved.
  • Ensures that products are properly installed each and every time.
  • Lifts products safely utilizing the tools provided to prevent injuries.
  • Maintain trucks and equipment in neat and organized manner.
  • Maintain proper inventory on the truck.
  • Report vehicle maintenance requirements to your supervisor.
  • Complete required job paperwork and communicate appropriate job notes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid driver’s License
  • Ability to lift, push, pull 100+ pounds regularly.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • OSHA 10 a plus

Hand Fabricator and Polisher (Rochester & Buffalo Location)

The polisher is responsible for polishing stone countertop edges and bottoms, running production lots with coworkers regarding production runs, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for properly polishing stone countertop edges and bottoms to meet customer specifications.
  • Ability to use and understand basic hand-held measuring and power tools.
  • Responsible for the detection and reporting of defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, following
    appropriate safety procedures.
  • Performs inspections of machined products and documents findings as
    appropriate.
  • Completes and maintains paperwork for counter tops and materials.
  • Trains on other shop equipment as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Saw/Crane knowledge is a plus

CNC Operator (Rochester & Buffalo Location)

The CNC Machinist is responsible to plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and control the CNC machine fabrication work area, and produce countertops in a safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The CNC Machinist is provided programmed CNC files, approved drawings and specifications describing point of origin, file name, and certification.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews AutoCAD drawings and templates to ensure cut is correct, preview the tool path cut on the control panel, and verifies point of origin, in addition to program in CNC language as necessary,
  • Completes Quality Control sheets and records necessary data.
  • Abides by OSHA requirements and established company procedures.
  • Attends weekly and monthly OSHA training sessions if required.
  • Responsible for ensuring required safety gear is worn in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Understands and applies principles of lean manufacturing to the workplace and processes.
  • Tracks workload reports, and works towards increasing operator throughput,
    quality, and overall productivity levels.
  • Maintains focus on quality measures, and ensures all products meet or exceed the specifications, to include inspection of the sizes, surfaces for scratches, and that edges are done correctly.
  • Perform CNC programming using Alphacam software, sets up and operates all types of machine tools and adjust machinery according to test evaluations.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and/or drawings
  • Uses micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure in-process or product tolerances.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance and safe operation of all equipment and tooling in accordance with operating manuals and procedures.
  • Coordinates machine repairs as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Machinist certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC machine operator, and Programming experience using Alphacam, AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Full body mobility and manual dexterity for operating machinery, equipment and small tools, ability to read blueprints and inspect finished products

Material Handler (Rochester & Buffalo Location)

The Material Handler is responsible for providing overall quality assessment and documentation of slabs and maintaining an organized warehouse. The Material Handler is responsible for each slab from delivery, until production.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loads and unloads slab delivery trucks and containers, verifies slab sizes, scans, and tags materials each slab in inventory upon receipt.
  • Performs quality checks to look for cracks, fissures, and discolorations, and notifies the Purchasing Manager of any defects or problems with material received or already in inventory.
  • Photographs all received slabs, marking defects and imperfections, and files photos in accordance with procedure.
  • Responsible for understanding the inventory tracking system and continuous learning as the system may change.
  • Pulls and inspects stone materials for customer viewing and in preparation for production.
  • Maintains inventory and material locations.
  • Responsible for complying with all company safety processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Moves and stages materials for the sales and project management teams, in
    accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Maintains the warehouse is an organized and clean manner.
  • Responsible for cross training on other equipment as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Overhead crane and Forklift experience a plus

Account Manager

Account Managers manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favorable relationships. They will liaise between customers and internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of products according to customer and account guidelines.
Account Managers will assist with making sales, handle client complaints, collect and enter data to ensure projects go smoothly. The Account Manager is responsible for complete over site of the project from start to finish.

Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs.
• Explain product, timelines, and processes to clients.
• Build long term relationships based on trust and respect.
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate project requirements.
• Work alongside Outside Sales to ensure accounts are properly trained and
equipped.
• Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.
• Meet with homeowners to view stone in the showroom and warehouse.

Minimum Requirements
• One year business to business/account management sales experience.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screenings
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Proficient in: MS Office, digital filing, ability to learn industry specific software
• Excellent communication skills which includes responding to questions and issues from internal and external customers in a clear yet consultative manner
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to correctly use a measuring tape
• Knowledge of stone fabrication industry helpful.

Quality Control Inspector

Goal – To improve the quality of the product going out the door through basic monitoring processes and tracking of quality data.

Primary Responsibilities
• End of process review
• Measure each countertop to ensure it matches the supplied drawings
• Ensure proper profiles are applied
• Visual inspection for any scratches or marks
• Data Collection of defects
• Tracking and monitoring any defectives for use as improvement opportunities
• Provide daily reports to management on each day’s issues
• Run weekly Quality Meeting
• Reviewing with Operations team, the issues of the prior week
• Using the data to develop trends and to Pareto opportunities
• Work upstream to determine where errors can be mitigated before the final quality review
• Put systems in place to improve quality through the line
• Work with Sales to ensure the first step of the process accurate
• Develop systems to communicate quality opportunities to the individuals that will benefit from the feedback

Secondary Responsibilities
• Work with the Install Manager and Install Service Supervisor to track and coordinate reinstallations caused by rework
• Enter rework phases into the computer system
• Work with Maintenance to develop a scheduled maintenance with the intent to mitigate production errors caused by faulty equipment
• Assist with “downloading” tops as needed
• Assist with shuttling product to installers in the field
• Make Quality Systems visual

Minimum Qualifications
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
• Job is mostly performed on your feet with some desk time
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Reading mechanical drawings is a plus
• No formal education is required
• Must be organized and the ability to lead programs
